These guys have created a collection of influential short pieces that are memorable for their lyrics, cyclical rhythms, and lo-fi quality. Band member Calvin Johnson created The Halo Benders as a side project to Beat Happening. And although I prefer The Halo Benders to Beat Happening, this is where it all started: pure format.

Frealane is a band that brings back the best times of the 90s to today’s music scene. This video is for Never Too Late, but definitely take a look at their other songs. This band is an emerging gem that features great artists like Coque, lead guitarist and friend.

I can only say great things about Wolfmother. This band sounds like it belongs to our last century’s latter half- Nirvana, Silverchair & The Stone Temple Pilots would have probably been friends with these guys. My favorite is Vagabond.
More greatness from the 90s: Shelf In The Room by Days of The New. Like a cousin to Stone Temple Pilots, one song by this band isn’t enough to listen to, so I suggest listening thoroughly.
You and Me by the Wannadies starts sexy and chill and then breaks loose into some 90s rock choruses. This great track was a part of the Romeo & Juliet movie directed by Baz Luhrmann.
Puddle of Mudd didn’t make the 90s even though their debut album, Come Clean, (released in 2001) was rife with 90s rock chaos. She Hates Me is my favorite from this album, although Blurry was much more popular.

Yup, because you can never forget how great Two Princes by The Spin Doctors was and still is.
